About Me

I have over 4 years of industry experience building and operating backend systems in reliability-critical environments, where automation, observability, and failure handling matter as much as feature delivery.

I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science at Indiana University Bloomington, where I’m building Credify, a reusable identity and age-verification platform shaped through startup incubators including Shoemaker InnoQuest, The Mill’s Startup Summer, and IU Innovates.

Alongside engineering, I’ve developed strong communication and leadership skills through Toastmasters and editorial leadership at The Guindy Times, and I actively contribute to Women Who Code through workshop ideation, speaker coordination, and community engagement.

I’m most interested in backend or platform engineering roles where I can work on systems with real operational constraints and grow toward senior-level ownership through thoughtful system design and trade-off reasoning.

Ideated and evolved Credify from concept to MVP, progressing through Shoemaker InnoQuest → The Mill’s Startup Summer → IU Innovates, identifying gaps in reusable identity and age verification and driving a B2C → B2B pivot toward vendor-integrated verification workflows; owned backend system design and delivery.
Architected an audit-first, compliance-ready platform, incorporating mentor feedback to design Spring Boot–based verification APIs, secure hashing, OCR pipelines, Firebase OTP, and Amazon QLDB–inspired ledger concepts for tamper resistance, traceability, and scalable adoption.

Senior Software Engineer

Bank of America Chennai, India Mar 2022 – Jul 2024

Contributed to large-scale backend reliability and automation initiatives under the Never Down program, supporting 260K+ middleware servers at 99.99% uptime. Implemented core logic for automated JBoss patching and rollback, reducing MTTR by 60% and execution time from hours to seconds (Bronze Award).
Built backend automation and platform utilities in Java and Spring Boot, including JFrog Artifactory artifact promotion tools to reduce manual release errors and certificate lifecycle management APIs on an internal XaaS platform, enabling automated renewals and policy enforcement.
Designed and engineered backend data processing workflows, transforming Tanium raw security signals into template-driven structured outputs for downstream integration, improving reliability and consistency of vulnerability data consumption.
Drove the technical design and implementation of a GIS-based vulnerability scanning automation, collaborating with a teammate to define the vulnerability classification strategy. Replaced an assumed NLP-based approach with deterministic rule-based pattern recognition, implemented backend classification logic, and co-developed a React-based reporting dashboard. The solution was exhibited at an internal Code-a-thon and received a Silver Award from management, reducing monitoring time from hours to minutes.
